Kings Double Room
(106 Poimenia ,107 Hind Al Hussieni)
Poimenia
Welcome I am Room 106, where faith and architectural beauty meet. I am Poimenia, an aristocrat who played a pivotal role in shaping Jerusalem’s spiritual landscape. I’m honored to be your room during your stay.
During my pilgrimage around 390 AD, I financed the construction of the first church on the Mount of Olives, which later became the Chapel of Ascension. This site, traditionally believed to be where Jesus ascended to Heaven, grew into a significant religious complex. As you stay in Room 106, let my dedication to faith guide your journey through Jerusalem’s sacred history, where ancient traditions blend with modern comfort.
Hind Al Hussieni
Welcome I am Room 107. I am Hind Al Hussieni, a Palestinian Jerusalemite deeply connected to this ancient city and I’m honored to be your room during your stay.
After witnessing the Deir Yassin massacre in 1948, I founded The Home of the Arab Child to care for orphaned children. Despite setbacks, including destruction during the 1967 Israeli occupation, my dedication never wavered. In 1982, I established the Hind Al-Husseini College of Arts for Girls, empowering generations of Palestinian women. I also founded The Palestinian Heritage Museum in 1962 under the name “the Folkloric Heritage Center”. The goal of the museum was and still is to preserve the Palestinian heritage As you stay in Room 107, let my legacy inspire you to embrace the spirit of compassion and resilience that defines Jerusalem’s rich history.
